Entrepreneurial Live Student Ambassadors.

On Tuesday 13 of October, Mr Stefan accompanied by another female teacher took his former DP1 students that study Business Management on a highly qualified trip where they gained much more experience than they could have ever awaited. The trip was definitely one to remember as it went through the students entire school day, from 9:00am to 15:45pm. However, the day was filled with a range of active activities since the Natwest was sponsoring the event where an approx. of other schools were present, therefore it was also a great opportunity to meet other students from other school. Teen Tech.
On the 1st of December some of the MYP3’s, Mr. Ryan and Ms. Sophie went to Teen Tech, which is located in Stratford at the copper box arena.
Teen tech is an industry-led initiative that helps young teenagers to see the wide range of career possibilities in Science, engineering and technology. Maggie Philbin and Chris Dodson founded it in 2008. The Teen Tech event takes place in various venues across the UK at the events 300 pupils from 30 different schools attend. The MYP3 students were really fortunate to attend the event, as they are the very first students of International Community School to attend one of the events. The trip to Teen Tech was the entire day the students meet Both Mr. Ryan and Ms. Sophie outside Lancaster gate station at 7:45am with their packed lunch and ready to go. During the event there were various stations to attend that involved really educational yeat interactive subjects. The station that the MYP3’s first attended had to do with engineering, they built a dome for a building that is currently being built nearby the copper box. The students even won an award at the end of the event for the school with the best teamwork at that particular station. The students and teachers had such an amazing day and I, Jerusa think that “The Teen Tech trip will definitely be a trip to remember, I had an unforgettable experience”. Another student Giulia says “I really liked it because I never thought that technology could be involved in almost everything”. Furthermore another pupil Sarah agrees and says “I think the trip to Teen Tech was so fun, we did different activities which were exciting”. Therefore, Teen Tech is an amazing event to go to if you ever get the opportunity to go do not hesitate and actually go. By: Jerusa-(MYP3) |
