Background info.
A former Diploma student, Sophia Bosoni, established the Eye News Club in September 2013. Sophia created this club because of her passion to write and her ambition and desire to be the president of a successful club. Eye News has been running for a year and a couple of months now and developed ever since from our first paper issues, to our current blog on Weebly, and a private Instagram page for students to view and follow only. Eye News has its own logo, advertisements, e-mail, presented in many school assemblies, It offers many job opportunities for all of the members part of the ICS community. The purpose of the Eye News’s club is to allow all students who want to be part of the club to explore their interests and ideas (either in relation to the school or their outside personal lives) and to share them with ICS. Eye News members meet every week depending on their year groups. The members of the first lunch meet on Monday and the members of the second lunch meet on Friday. This allows members to share ideas and occasionally try to get more people involved in the club. In the fall of this current year (2014), Eye News had a very interesting project: they wanted all the members to have a sweatshirt with the logo of the club. In order to buy these sweatshirts the members has to put in place two bake sales in order to raise the money. This task showed the unity of the members and their contribution in the club.
